The Atlanta Open directors were proud to sponsor a noteworthy charity again this year, the Save the Children Foundation. Part of the players entry fees were donated to the cause, though many of the players won the great prizes available, including a day at the spa and an all-inclusive trip to Grand Lido, Jamaica!
The Sponsor and Patron Party Thursday night was again a success, where "thank you" gifts were handed out! The buffet, catered by Brio on Friday night was outstanding and all will be looking forward to it again next year! Once again this year, our now "World Famous" VIP party, was a complete success. A great time was had by all.
Sunday is day for all finals.. first up the amateurs, then the PSA finals party! Catered hors' devours from Breadcrumbs and an open martini bar was available courtside for all spectators! Some of the most beautiful trophies you have ever seen were available to the amateurs along with Harrow equipment. The awards ceremony and charity raffle were held immediately following the final game. You never know who might show up.. in 2003, all of the guests were surprised to see Evander Holyfield in the audience, and this year the Georgia Force cheerleaders showed up to entertain us!
